Mark Chipman was most helpful as the bookkeeper of Roosevelt Island Historical Society (RIHS) when the accounting duties had gotten become too time-consuming for the Treasurer.
Mark worked with the Treasurer to ensure an orderly transition of responsibilities, and then proceeded to create an ever-more complex and complete set of books.
Four years ago, the RIHS opened a visitors kiosk that not only distributed free maps to tourists but also carried souvenirs and postcards for sale. Mark set up inventory and cost-of-goods accounts and assumed the responsibility for paying the sales taxes due to both the city and state. He also created a timekeeping system to track the pay earned by the part-time workers who greeted visitors in the kiosk.

Mark Chipman created an accounting system on QuickBooks for my 501(c)3 nonprofit organization - I Challenge Myself, Inc.
